Controlling your photography
costs.
Cost is often a concern when hiring a photographer,
but beware when using cost as the only criteria when
selecting, as this may turn out to be a false
economy.
| If you are serious
about acheiving great results, yet still have
a limited budget, there are a number of steps
that can be taken; |
 |
First and foremost is
to talk with us to let us know your
available budget. If you simply ask
for a quote, we will always provide
standard fees and charges, however we
are often happy to negotiate. |
 |
Have a clear idea of
what you are wanting to acheive. If
you do not know what you are after,
it is not possible for us to provide
a firm indication of costs. Having said
this, pre-production meetings can be
arranged to help you clarify your requirements,
and determine the direction in which
to proceed. |
 |
Plan the shoot efficiently,
i.e. with still life shoots, putting
similar sized items close together in
shooting order will reduce time between
shots or the need to reset lighting.
With architecture, arranging pre-production
meetings can save a considerable amount
on time onsite. |
 |
If you are photographing
with people, consider using "real
people" as opposed to models |
 |
If you are shooting locations,
consider carefully which locations are
most important, and look at the costs
associated with travel and expenses. |
 |
Know which areas of the
projects are the most important, and
which elements you are able to compomise
with and still acheive the desired results. |
 |
Once again, talk with
us first, as we can help plan an effective
photographic shoot. |
