Crookwell Community Trust art auction
Crookwell town and region is a rural community of approximately 4000 people. The Crookwell District Community Trust (CDCT) is a charity organisation set up to help people living in, or with a connection too, the Crookwell district who have experienced extreme difficulities due to personal trauma or natural disasters. Past aid has gone to those in need of urgent medical assistance, those that have lost their homes due to fire, as well as assisting those that have experienced a death in the family and were unable to meet the furneral expenses.
The Trust has been in existence for approximtely ten years. To date the Trust has financed its assitance, to those in need, via private donations, with only the occassional fund raising event.
Due to the ongoing drought, as well as other economic pressures of living in rural Australia, members of the Trust have experienced a greater demand for assistance. To meet these demands the Trust now wishes to both lift its profile as well as gather more funds, through a charity art auction. Read more
